Principle

These are the same collectors used in our solar thermal packages. Solar-thermal water heating systems circulate water (or glycol fluids) through evacuated tube collectors. The liquid gets heated by the sun and the temperature rises in a storage tank until the heat exchange process takes place providing hot water to the user's storage tank. The system manages the flows with electric pumps, valves, and controllers. 
Expansion tanks are used in closed-loop configurations.
